A Truly Canadian Summer Camp Experience

Located in Ontario, Canada, Onondaga Camp and Camp Kandalore have been providing extraordinary experiences for children ages 7 to 17 years old since 1918.

Our Campers

At both camps, we welcome approximately 85% of our campers from across Canada and 15% from all around the world.

Our camps provide campers the opportunity to be fully immersed in traditional, established, Canadian programs - living, sleeping, playing in English.

Our camps allow children to be themselves and to make friendships to last a lifetime.

All international campers are provided with an all inclusive package, so everything they will need for during their stay is included in the fees paid.
- Round trip transfers from the Toronto International Airport (YYZ) or camper bus transportation from midtown Toronto
- Medical insurance for dates of stay
- All meals, programs, canoe trips & accommodations
- Basic tuck expenses (snack and drink items)
- Sleeping bag, pillow, life jacket & canoe paddle
- Custodianship Documents for Unaccompanied Minor travel to Toronto (by air)
- International Camper Communications Package (daily scanning of handwritten letters & printing/distribution of parent emails sent)
- Regular email and photo updates from camp

Our Staff

At both camps, we operate on a 1:3 staff to camper ratio. Our staff are the backbone of our camp and are the reason so many campers come back year after year.

Our staff training is built on the insight that a kind and helpful staff member is often what a camper will remember most from their summer camp experience. We stress the importance of listening, watching, and encouraging so that counsellors can create an environment where campers feel good about trying new things and are supported for their efforts. This philosophy is a fundamental principle for our staff.

We hire new staff on the basis of the soundness and maturity of their judgment, their commitment to being strong role models, and most importantly their ability to establish positive and caring relationships with their campers.
